Visiting Guidelines

All approved visitors need to check in at the Information Desk and receive a visitor's badge. Please wear this badge at all times when visiting a patient.

 

Potential visitors who are suffering from, or have been exposed to, a contagious disease such as a cold, flu, or chicken pox should not visit the hospital. During the RSV and flu season, special guidelines will be posted and must be followed.

 

Tours

If you are interested in scheduling a tour of The Children's Center, please contact the Communications and Development office at (405) 440-6733. Special tour arrangements will be made for groups.

 

Please make sure your child's visitors are considerate of other patients and staff, especially in regard to noise. Parents are responsible for their other children while on the premises.

 

Gift Policy

In order to make sure toys are safe for the children, please refrain from purchasing items with:

  • metal parts,
  • buttons, or other removable parts,
  • small parts that can be placed in the child's mouth (small beans or beads), and
  • live plants or flowers
Latex Policy

Mylar balloons for patients are welcomed at The Children's Center. However, latex balloons are not permitted anywhere in the hospital.

 

Smoking/Tobacco

The Children's Center is a smoke, and tobacco-free, facility. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the grounds.

 

Alcohol and Drugs

Alcohol and drugs are prohibited in the hospital and on the grounds.

 

Weapons

NO WEAPONS ARE ALLOWED ON THE CHILDREN'S CENTER'S PROPERTY

 

Mail

Gifts and mail can brighten a hospital stay. Patients at The Children's Center may receive letters, cards and gifts through the mail. Please address mail to:
